I chose the 'Gothic' themed fonts and then chose the 'Van Helsing' style. I selected this style as the band are a gothic metal/rock band so it matched their style of music. The font is quite simplistic yet still effective, and is clearly readable to the audience.
Once I'd chosen the font I print screened the page, as I was unable to directly copy the text from the page, and then pasted it into Photoshop into my DVD cover document. Using the select tool, I selected the 'Lacuna Coil' text and put this into a new layer. I then used the 'transform' function to change the scale of the text so that it was bigger and placed it at the top of the page. Using the 'magic wand tool' I cut out the background form the text so i was just left with the text only.
